Hi ,

This is fresh install of BPC 5.1 on MS-SQL 2005 , and while activating Process dimension get the following error .

- Error connecting to OLAP: Errors in the OLE DB provider. An error occurred while named instance information was being retrieved from the SQLBrowser service on the 'SOCW3S1ER74\BPC' server.(K2logic)

The OLAP DB is created and displayed in SQL server management studio.

Please help.

Also make sure that you have the server installed with regional settings English US.

Thanks a lot Sorin,

The OLE DB provider error has been resolved , now we get the error message when we try to process an application by clicking u201CModify applicationu201D and checking u201CProcess dimensionu201D, we get the following error u2013

u201CError Message: Object variable or With block not setu201D

Please help.

Did you installed all prerequisite like ADOMD.NET 8.0 and also the fix which you can find in the same download place from Microsoft?

It seems or you forget to mention the instance for OLAP when you did the installation of BPC or you missed the installation of ADOMD.NET.

Hi Prasanna Govindan,

You should make sure that the OLAP Services is running and another MS.SQL 2005 services too.
