what is the meaning of backflush?

Hi,

Previous members explanied about backflush in discreate manufacturing.

In repetetive manufacturing, backflush function is available.

It is a confirmation process, while doing confirmation goods issue will happen automatically in background.

For that no need to set backflush indicator in material master, workcenter or routing. system will capture the setting available from REM profile assigned in material master MRP4 view.

Goods issue will happen by 261 mvt. Goods receipt by 131 mvt.

Hi,

Back flushing is nothing but automatic goods issue. System will automatically posts the goods issue when you confirm the operations.You have no need to make manual issue. It will reduce the effort.

Backflushing is automatic accounting (Goods issues - 261 mvt) of material consumed for production, at the time of confirmation.

Assy line picks the material from stores/ Assy line and use.

No Physical issue & Manual posting ( Goods Issue) by Stores.

Backflush is used for material which are a must and having fixed relationship.

This can be configured in MRP2 Screen,Work centre, Routing and production order.

Each has some special function.

If you configure this in routing or production order you have no need to activate this in MRP2 or Work center screen.

HI

This functinality is used when don't want to do the goods issue maually by using MB1A.

1.you can do back flushing process giving manual indicator in order components view (isf you set this iondicator system will propose the components automatically to issue at order confiramtion.

2.if tyou set the always back flush indicator at materialmaster MRP2 view , then system will prapose that component issues at order confirmation.

3.if you want all the compoents realated to the order type has to get issued at the time of confirmation the you need to do customization in OPK4 you have to make tick to ALL COMPONENTS.

Dear Digvijay,

Backflush:

The non-manual posting of an issue of components some time after their physical withdrawal for an order.

The goods issue posting for backflushed components is performed automatically at the time of order

completion confirmation.

The backflush indicator can be set either in the Material Master,Work center or in the routing.

While doing the confirmation automatic GI will be carried out that's 261 movement will be happening along

with 101(Good's Receipt) in Discrete scenario and 131 (Good's Receipt) in REM scenario.

Hi

This functionality will be used for Goods issue.

Some of the items like gas can not be drawn the quantityform stores & keep it in production custody .

The gas after consumption the exact qty will be be made to draw while confirming the production.

where as other items can be issued to Production order before starting of production .
