what is the use of CMIR record? what are the tables of CMIR record?

can you give the example of CMIR?

Hello Rakesh,

The advantage of using CMIR is we canu2019t deal the every material and every customer as same. In the same manner there is a different way of handling particular material to a particular customer is also treated different. In those cases CMIR will be helpful.

CMIR is always having high priority than CMR and MMR.

For eg: If we maintain Plant1 in a customer master record and Plant2 in material master record and Plant ABC at CMIR at the time of sales order creation system picks Plant ABC to that particular customer to that particular material though palnt1 and plant2 maintained.

The fields which you enter in CMIR will be treated as high priority. In CMIR you can also maintain the various other inputs customer material description, delivery toleranceu2026.

These records store in table KNMT.

Data on a material defined for one specific customer is stored in the customer material information records. This data includes

- the customer-specific material number

- the customer-specific material description

- customer-specific data on deliveries and delivery tolerances

If, for example, one of your customers uses a number for a material, which differs from the number your company uses to identify it, you can store the material number used by the customer in the customer material information record.

What the most important information is that in some companies the marketing people are more familiar with customer part number rather the plant's material code. So if you maintain CMIR, in sale order, you can input customer material code and quantity, so that the respective plant's material code will be displayed automatically. The marketing team need not seach for plant's material code.

Hello,

You can determine customer-specific data for the materials in a customer-material information record.If you have maintained the customer data in the customer-material information record, you can access material using this customer data rather than having to find the actual material number.

When you create the information record, the system copies some of this data from the customer master record and the material master record.If a customer-material information record exists, the data defined there has priority over data in the customer and/or the material master record and is copied accordingly, into the individual items. The priority of fetching the plant to a document is from CMIR.

The table used is KNMT.
