what is the use of general item catagory group and item catagory group in MMR.
General item category group and item category group have the same function but only difference is that General Item Category Group is maintained as a GENERAL which is application to all the sales org, dist. channel, plants.
Item category group's main function is for item category determination at sales order / delivery level. System will pick the item category via - sales doc. type + item category group + item usage.
