HI Madhu,

You can do it by either by using T.code COB1 or by using MBC1 and better thing will be if possible than maintain it for both.

COB1 - is used when you want to do Batch Determination in Production / Process order itself.

MBC1 - is used during Goods issue / Goods Transfer or in other words during Inventory for example COR6N/COR11N/MIGO/COIK/MB26.

For doing Batch Determination on the basis of any characteristic you have to maintain sort rule.T.code is CU70.Here in your case you have to use characterstic LOBM_VFDAT in sort rule.

Refer below link for more details related to configuration part for Batch Determination.

Dear,

Path: SPRO--->Logistics General

>Batch Management-->Batch Determination & Batch Check --> Define IM Search Procedure mov type 261.

Batch search strategy

use COB1( for production ) or MBC1 (for inventory) with ME01 as a serach strtegy for your plant material and movement type.

Before this you have to create the required characteristics & assign it to the Class for the components .

You also have to create Sort sequence in CU70 .
