Security within Webi report

How to define content security within a webi report (i.e. USA users only see USA datam UK user only see UK data etc)

Where is this set and how?

There are a few ways to do this.

All of these require additional steps to be performed outside of Webi too.

1. Set Access restrictions on tables for the group(s) in Universe Designer.i.e. USA must belong to the USA group (for example) and UK must belong to the UK group.

2. Restrict security using a security table on the database.

3. Use Publications.

1,2 actually restrict data. 3 does not restrict data. It merely hides it from users, so if security is a concern, 1 or 2 should be used.

Hi,

You can also use the Option to set Profiles and Publication.

This will enable you to login as a seperate user either USA or UK and the data displayed would be corresponding or relative to the user.
