A Cascading Prompt with two Parameters on one level?

Former Member

Hello,

is it possible to make a cascading prompt with two Parameters on one level?

e.g.: -Country

-City1

-City2

This would be useful for a report that compares two things.

Otherwise the user would need to choose the Country twice, although it is always the same for both Cities

Thank you

Christoph

Hi Christoph

I tried to create Parameter as per your requirement (Dynamic Cascading Parameter)and it gave me an error message as "Each field can only be used once, but this field is being used multiple times:"City".Please select a different field and try again".

Regards

Asha.

Are you trying to select two cities for one country. If so you can select the parameter option for city as multivalue so that you can select any number of cities under one country in cascading prompt. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Hello Raghavendra,

actually I already used that solution.

But as I only want to compare two objects, that's not my favorite solution.

This way, there's no way to restrict the number of selected objects to two.

(What I did - I selected only two objects of that array afterwards. But thats not really transparent for the user)
