1Q.....How the data comes in product costing, and my doubt.
2Q....what is the differebcem between
cost element wtih quanity structure
and
cost element without quantiy structure.

The data flows from the to PC via the Cost Carriers. In FI these cost carriers are the GL accounts (more specifically the RM consumption accounts). In CO the cost carriers are the PCE and SCE and in CO-PA they are the Value Fields (if you follow the costing-based approach) and the Cost Elements again (if the accounting-based approach) is followed.
The Quantity Structure specifies the number of times a particular item or items is used in the production process.
The cost estimate with quantity structure enables you to calculate the non-order-related cost of goods manufactured and the cost of goods sold for products, based on the BOMs and routings.
