After applying patches: ...STARTING NEW TASK doesn't work any more

Hello,

in our SAP system we've performed a patch upgrade:

Kernel 640 remained at 196

SAP_ABA 620 from SAPKB62063 to SAPKB62064

SAP_BASIS 620 from SAPKB62063 to SAPKA62064

For whatever reason, after this the statement "...STARTING NEW TASK" in "CALL FUNCTION" doesn't work any more. This issue not only occurs in our customer-specific programs, but in SAP standard trx. SM59 (RFC destinations) as well. When trying to perform a remote login on an existing RFC destination it doesn't work since the program called for performing the remote login uses this statement as well. The destination itself works since we can use it in CALL FUNCTIONS but without statement "STARTING NEW TASK".

I searched for this issue in the SDN forum, however, didn't find any hint.

Any ideas?

Some configuration may have altered.contact your basis admin.

Network guys screwed it up, had nothing to do with SAP (basis).
