How many max umber of clients supported per SAP system ?

hi.

999 clients is a very theoretical value. think about the dependencies when applying support packages or making an upgrade...

we have about 100 clients in our dev-system and about 75 in the tst and prd-system. it's very hard to do the maintenance in the allocated time spot...

Hi,

Theoretically speaking you can create 997 clients since 3 clients are default clients(000,001,066).

SAP supports 1000 clients thoretically.

Practically speaking, the number of clients you can create depend on your Hardware configuration and many other factors like number of users going to logon in each client................ you need to decide based on your Hardware config, since quick response is ultimate target. You cannot have minimal configuration with many clients.

You also need to consider how much client depend data is going to present in clients you are going to create, the amount of Data etc.,

Hi,

The SAP can support 997 clients and three clients are default (000,001,066). You can not use for our purpose.

We have 000 to 999 clients to be created

Sap itself uses 3 client as default

we will use remaining 997 numbers for client purpose

We can have clients from 000 to 999.

So it starts from 000 continue till 999.

Total 1000 clients.

One productive client.
