Dear All,
My Client is having two plant and he need standred network for each plant. His requirement is have two different number range for each plant.
In OP8B - "Define parameters for standard network" I can assign only one number range to object "ROUTING_0". Also, I am not able to create different object there.
Let me know how i can assign two differenet no. range for network based on plants and also how we can create object in OP8b??
Thanks and Regards,
Atul R. Rajmane
Hi Atul
You cannot create another object as these are SAP standard objects. SAP has provided Routing_0 for std network.
I understand your requirement but am not able to understand why there is a need for seperate number range for std network - in business these are only templates and SAP provides the facility to have more than one number ranges for operative networks.
Bottom line is that you cannot create another object for std network in OP8G.

Hi,
we are creating network type at plant level so it is logical to use
number range at plant level.
u can create two different number range for two plant.

Hi,
My name is Ganesh and I am application consultant, for PS. As I understand, your businee issue is to have separate number ranges, for each plant. The solution goes like this,
1. Define external number range in configuration, for standard network, one for each plant. Ex. A100000....9999 and B10000....9999.
2. Create a standard network, for each plant, with corroesponding number range, as defined in the configuration. (During the standard network creation , please replace the default "plant" value).
3. Save the respective standard networks, for each plant, each with different number range.
Hope this solution is useful.
Regards,
Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,
Thanks for your answer.
I have Made two number ranges in "Maintained Number range for standard Network", I have maintained like as follows
04 - 6100000-61999999
05 - 6200000-62999999
And also Created two Std network profile as follows
ZS6001 & ZS6002 plant wise.
Now, from which option I can assign number ranges to this two Std network profiles??
Since, in "Define Parameter for Std Network" I am able assign only number range!!!
Let me know the solution for this??
Thanks and Regards,

For Standard Network number ranges are not assigned to network profile. U do not have do any assignment.
You have to explicitly mention the network number while creating Std. Network.
For example: Define External Number range:B001 to B9999
While creating Std. Network in CN01 input Std. Network No:B001

Dear Nitin,
Thanks for your replay.
In CO82 you can assign number ranges to Operative Network Profiles.
I need assign above number ranges to Standard Network Profile. Profiles created for std network(OPS5) are not showing in CO82.
Let me know how I can assign it??
Thanks and Regards,
