Hi,
The sample size is calculating as 0 even though the Inspection stage is 1 and inspection severity is 4.Please suggest me as to how this sample size gets calculated(formula or any method). The inspection plan is created in Jan and the materails were assigned to the plan in Sept. They all belong to a same group and for all the materails having this group ROHS and the group counter 11 the sample size calculates as 0.Looking for a reply
HI
pl check wether the inspection plan MICs are assgined to sampling procedure or not.
if not goto QDV1 t-code create the sampling procedure and run the QAC3 t-code,
then you check the sampling in theRR.
prerequsite: The lot should not be in Results recorded and UD done for the lot

Dear,
Inspection severtiy and Inspection stage is for dynamically modifying sample size.To calculate the sample size by the system you need to creat sampling procedure.Have you created this first?

When did you assign the material to inspection plan ? ie. before creation of inspection lot or after creation of inspection lot....
go to QA02 --> click on insp. specification tab --> click on ur insp.plan (which is in Right side -- of gr.counter)
if you see throgh this way you will get exactly what inspection plan assign for this inspection lot.
check whether your material# is assigned or not.
reassign the inspecton plan in QA02 and click on sample
now sample size will be calculated and your lot status will be REL instead of CRtd...
let me know if you need further assitence
thanks
Sami
