REGARDING DCS SYSTEM IN CEMENT INDUSTRY

Hi,

If i go for repetitiive planning for cement mfg industry,how are we integrate with DCS system in REM mfg.

Please suggest any body.

Hi!,

I think you have asked a very big question in very few words.

DCS is used to control and monitor the ongoing production activities. First of all you need to understand where an interface is actually required. While using repetitive manufacturing the typical inputs from DCS to SAP may be like production quantity (GR quantity), quantity of raw material consumed etc. You can further investigate such interaction points and can proceed for an interface.

One of the main reason to use PP-PI in this enviornment is, SAP has predefined BAPI which integrate PI sheet with DCS with less programming effort.

If you are using repetitive manufacturing then, the we need to develop a code(interface) to call this standards BAPI to move the transaction details(production activity)
