How to deny users from saving production reports

Hello All,

I would like to deny users to overwrite the reports (Workbooks and Queries) that are under a specific role.

That is, users can use the Save As button from the Analyzer's toolbar (and save their modifications under Favorites, for example) but they should not do Save.

May you suggest me how to do it.

HI,

Give the following roles to the user and change the settings in them to allow only read access and to save the workbook only in favorites.

s_usr_agr

s_gui

s_bds_d

s_user_tcd.

Give the users create access ( to use the save as option ) but remove the change option - this way the original report would be fine but this wuld lead to a lot of dummy queries - when the user wants to change an existing query that h/she has created then there is an issue.
