create more than one client in BI

Hi,

I installed BIdevelopment server.I created client 100 and did local client copy with the profile SAP_ALL.now i want to create another client,we can create more than one client in developmenn servre or not if any problem for create more than one client in BI.clarify my doubt.

Hi Kumar,

I am kishore, as i m new to sap basis module my answer might not satisfy you but as far as my knowledge there can be one or more clients in development sap system as per your needs where as as prodution system should and must have only one client. However there should be very important purpose to create a client as it occupies a reasonable amount of system resources, otherwise there is no issue to create a client in BI development server.

Hi guys

You can have several clients in a standard dev system, but you cannot have more than one client in a BI dev system!!!

BI systems are single client systems, all BI objects are client independant. There is no client column in an infocube. So in your case: No you cannot have more than one client!

Hi,

As Kishore said you can have diff clients in your server.

It depends on your requirement and design as each client has its role in the server and hence accordingly created.
