Integration between R/3 and CRM

Hello,

iam an experienced SD consultant. just learnt the basics like base customising and crm sales.

I want to know what are the various intergartion points between R/3 and CRM. how information is exchanged (data and config) between them. for this to happen, do we need to maintain same same naming convention in R/3 and CRM. for example same pricing condition type in both (K004 maintained in both CRM and R/3)

is there any SAP note for the same or is there any SAP eductaion notes just as CRM100 is for base customising.

You will learn about the middleware concepts in the CR500 course, and also from the best practice guides available here:

Especially the guides B01, B09, C01, C03 and C71 are important.

However, the real knowledge will come with experience as always ...

If you have some old documentation available: There was until and with CRM 3.0 a so-called "setup & Load guide" available which was in my eyes a better document than the best practice ones and still is valid in most of its points.
