Cfolder Implemetation

Hello,

I am new to this C-folder, So plz guide me to meet the following requirement.

We are having SAP-SRM 4.0 with Classic Scenario. It has ECC 6 as a backend system. We are having SAP-PLM also, Now the business wants to use C-folder functionality for sharing the documents espl. Designs with Supplier.

So, Could you please help me in implementing the C-folder.

Following are my doubts.

What is C-folder?

Is it the standard functionality of ECC6/ SRM/PLM?

What all business scenarios are there like for Competitive n collaborative?

What all business process it has?

How to go ahead with implementing the c-folder for sharing PLM drawings through SRM?

cFolders (cFolders) is an Internet-based collaboration application in mySAP PLM. This new collaboration platform enables you to collaborate with external business partners in virtual teams to optimize cross-enterprise processes. It allows you to efficiently share and exchange structured and unstructured information, such as bills of material and other kinds of documents with internal team members, external partners, and suppliers.

cFolders supports two different scenarios for this purpose:

Collaborative scenario u2013 for example, for internal team members

Competitive scenario u2013 for example, for use as a supplieru2019s bidding room

Implementation Sequence:

Mandatory Components:

SAP NetWeaver 2004s

cProject Suite is installed as an add-on on SAP NetWeaver 2004s.

Do not install SAP NetWeaver 2004s on Windows NT 4.0.

cProject Suite 4.00

You must install cProject Suite 4.00 as an add-on on the SAP Web Application Server.

cProject Suite 4.00 includes two applications:

● cProjects u2013 a project management application

● cFolders u2013 a collaboration platform
