Is BO query is based on target DB

Is BO query is based on target DB or BO modify query before sending to target DB.

the BO generates the Query based on how you developed your universe, your joins, contexts , restrictions,,,,,,, etc.

then it send it to the database, the database process the query and get the result back to the BO server, which in turn manager to display it for you using some services and processes included.

If you can put some light on use of DB specific function or procedures via edit sql option.

Will validate button validate the target DB specific function???

I support it will according to ur reply however just need ur thought on this.

yes it will validate the query when you click the validate button.
