I want to know the details of use and settings for the field

In PR Item details of MATERIAL TAB field called REVISION LEVEL

Hi

revision level of material is maintained when any engineering/design changes comes across.

With the revision level we can track the material's engg./design changes.

For maintaining revision level u have to create change master data in Tcode-cc01.

then create material revision level in Tcode-cc11.Assign the respective change master & give validity for that.

The current revision level can be seen in basic data view of material master

It is the version that indicates the revision level.

ie..the document has been revised for how many times.

when you change the material or doucment info. this revision level updates if the settings are done for it.

> You can identify material or document changes that are made with reference to a change number by the use of revision levels. for eg: When you want to process the BOMs for these materials or documents at a later date, you can find and call them using either the change number or the revision level.
