Dear SD Consultants,
We r receiving stock with BAtch No.
While creating Sales Order, we r not entering any batch NO. but while doing Delivery with reference to Sales Order, we r using Batch No.
Sales Order
Material----
-M1--
100
Delivery
Material--
-
M1--
ABC
-
M1--
XYZ
using batch split. But while doing so i am getting an error
ITEM CATEGORY NOT DEFIND.
Plz help me to solve the problem - ASAP.

Check the item category determination from delivery side. SPRO --> LE --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define item category determination in deliveries.
Here maintain an entry for LF + NORM + CHSP + TAN = TAN.

You might be forgot maintaining the Item category Determination using CHSP usage.
Example: OR NORM CHSP - TAN
LF NORM CHSP - TAN
CHSP represents the Batch Split.

Hi,
This is the problem you face due to copy controls. (Sales order to delivery). Your item category determination is not carried out, so check your item category determination and assign your sales order to item category determination. This would surely solve your problem.
