Hello there,
I would like to know whether I have to setup Single Sign-on for XI to avoid the problem of Authorization error 401 using RFC connection when sending data from R3 -> XI.

Hi Thaiba,
if you get 401 error in r3 to XI RFC scenario
it might mean that your user from sender rfc adapter
gets blocked somewhere (or the password was changed)
you don't need SSO to do r3 - XI communication
without any 401 issues
just have a look what happens with your user first
