Hi,

I assume you have read the notes and I suggest to alter your collation setting to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS if the new database or old database collation is different with your new server collation and SBO_Common database collation. The query is:

alter database [<db name] collate SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

May I know why you have to allow mix collation setting in the first place? If possible, this should be avoid in your best effort.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi,

I addition to Gordon's answer, pls read this note also if you refer to SQL server collation: 987436.

Hi Rajh,

One of the very old SAP Note # 542024 "error in Character set" when opening a backup has show a related problem. You can check that note.

Potential problem is probably just stops there. It should be nothing more than the issue for charachter setting, order, etc. As long as you can stick on just one correct collation, you should be fine.

Thanks,

Gordon
