Hi,

With out class code of material we cann't proceed further in refurbishment orders.

The spare parts class code defines the component as either a reference item (code 0), an expendable item (code 1), a repairable spare, having a supporting CMM (code 2), or a repairable spare, not having a supporting CMM (code 6). To use the function to convert planned orders into PM refurbishment orders you must maintain the relevant materials with spare parts class code 2 or 6.

Dear Experts,

Thanks for your reply. We are not using MRO scenario here and we want to refurbish only the internal materials ( Equipments or Spare parts ) and track the cost of repair for an equipment .

Is it possible to carryout refurbishment by assigning batch to a material . Is any other way to track the repair cost for an equipment.

Vivid

Hi vivid

Well, according to ur query

If u dont have valuation type u cannot find the cost of the particular material after refurbishment.

In other case, if u do it internally and you want to know the cost

You cannot get the cost of the material, but u can get cost of the order.

Might be you have to allocate refurbishment order to a particular Cost center. WHere u can find the cost.

When u do customizing, u wil place a Tick for refurbishment, it means, the settlement rule will be created automatically with respect to the material.

I am not aware abt any user exit or upgradation is there for this....

hi vivid

Without valuation type. It will resemble the same as the Maintenance Order.

In spro - Plant maintenance - maintenance Processing - Maintenance order - Functions and setting of order type - Indicates order type for refurbishment order

When u use this tick - It will ask for a valuation material

Then the cost is settle under the material (automatically)

If u dont - It will Create a Normal order without

Pl note :

If u dont use the valuation type for refurbishment. then there wont be proper use of the RO to increase the value of the material.

What i explained in my last post is....

If u r trying to find out the cost of refurbishment order... it is possible...But material cost u cannot find out

Dear Pithan,

As per your explanation, if we de-activate the Refurbishment tick mark for PM04 then it will behave as any other maintenance orders . The whole purpose of using refurbishment order type will be a question.

Thanks and Regards,

Vivid

Dear Vivid Vampire,

Refurbishment order done with atleast valuation type. So without this refurbishment order not possible.

If you want to do refurbishment you must have valuation type.
