I think the better way is to use an in built subreport instead of on demand subreport. Is there any specific reason that you want on demand subreport? I don't think it is possible to open the on demand subreport in same tab.
The client wants a list of summary information then the ability to drill-down or expand to see the details. It would look better if I could expand and contract the summary info in the same screen.
I tried the Hide (drill-down OK) section but I can't drill-down in web browser and it opens a new tab also.
