can any one tell me the real time scenario in pharmaceutical company of a MM functional consultant.what basically consultant do . what are their roles and responsibilities for a pharma company.

The role of a MM consultant in a pharmaceutical Industry...

As regards the implementation the esxisting Business processes need to be studied. The consultant should be capable enough to map the existing Business processes in SAP in co-ordination with the client.

The client has to be convinced about the mapping of processes.

Accordingly, the materials have to be defined and MM record is to be maintaned. The materials have to be defined as per their specific shelf life expiration date and stocked accordingly.which is very important for a pharmaceutical industry.

Again the Batch managed materials have to be checked and accordingly the Batches have to be properly defined. deleted.

The entire Procurement activities have to be mapped. The account determintaion should be properly done so that the cost can be tracked for the respective expenses in the company.

the Physical Inventory process has to be in place which ensures a proper Inventory count over thr periodisc intervals.

The master data has to be very precise so that can have a hold over thesystem.
