Hi,

How can I programmatically set an iView position to u2018fixedu2019 on a page?

Or see if it is fixed?

Thanks,

Raymond

Hello Raymond,

Thanks for clearing my question i now understood your question.

Check this link which explains about Moving iViews on a Page:

Perhaps I did not explain my problem correctly, the igoogle functionality is working perfectly so I know how to move iviews.

My question is: How do I know if the user is allowed to move an iview? I would like to read out the "fixed" property (boolean) of the page content / page layout (in content management).

Thanks,

Raymond

Hello Aparna,

My question is not about fixed height or adding iviews to a page. What I try to accomplish is a way to see if an iView can be moved (by a user via personalization). This setting can be set by checking the u201Cfixedu201D checkbox on the page content/layout screen. I need to know this setting because I build an igoogle/bbc solution to drag and drop iViews on a page. These positions are persistent in the pcd.

To check if the user is allowed to drag & drop iViews I would like to check the u201Cfixedu201D checkbox.

Hello Raymond,

Can you tell us little more about when you say fixed.

Do you mean to add iview to the page or mark the height property of the iview to the value 'Fixed'
