BI Statistics - Workbooks

Hi,,

We activated BI statistics (NW2004s) on our project to measure the performance of our BI applications: queries, workbooks and web templates.

The statistics that are collected for queries and web templates seem to match 100% with reality. But, we hardly get any statistics in the cubes/tables for (7.0) workbooks which is quite bad since workbooks are used most on our project.

The strangest part is that some workbooks are appearing in the statistics while most others arenu2019t. Please note that we switched on the statistics for ALL workbooks in transaction RSDDSTAT.

Are you aware of any fixes for this particular problem ? We heard from other projects that also they can't use the statistics for workbooks.

Workbook statistics are inturn of query.

Example when you refresh a workbook you can see the query usage in incremented.

Hence workbooks are not taken into account.

Thanks for your reaction but unfortunately I cannot agree with your opinion since SAP BI 7.0 Statistics really supports queries, workbooks and webtemplates.

Like I said, the statistics do work fine for webreports which are also the ouput of queries so that's comparable with workbooks. Also the keyfigure "frontend time" is only supported for workbooks and webtemplates and NOT for queries. This means that frontend time can only be evaluated with the workbook statistics and not the query statistics.

Please also don't forget that we get correct statistics for SOME workbooks, our problem is that many workbook statistics are missing however.
