Hello,
For every BOM item (which have this field available), I would like to set a default value for the field Production Storage Location (RC29P-LGORT) under the tab Status/Lng Text.
Is there another way than a transaction variant? I tried with LAG PID but it's not working. Also can I make this field mandatory someway?
Thanks,
François

There is no setting in customization sothat you can copy the prod storage location in BOM items. There is provision in Material Masters where you can maintaini it in Material Masters.
I have also tried it using default Setting for users. But maintaining there also we cannot keep the default value there.
So this is not possible to maintain the default value there.

I close the thread, the search effort doesn't worth the gain I expected.

François,
I suspect the guys above are correct..
But get your ABAP team to check-out the BOM user-exits/BADIs.
Let us know if you find a solution..

Dear,
Here you can't get default data but while entering in maintenance order this material will have storage location data if in material it is maintained.
