hi
all
How can u handle delta loads? plz tell me with scenario
your regards
muni
In case of queued delta LUW's r posted to extractor queue
by scheduling V3job we move the documents from Extactor
queue to Delta queue and we extract LUW's from Deltaqueue
to SAP BW by running Delta loadsQueued delta maintains
Extractor log to handle the LUW's which r missed.
In case of Direct delta LUW's r directly posted to Delta
Queue(RSA7)and we extact the LUW's from DeltaQueue to SAP
BW by running Delta loads. It degrades the OLTP performance
becoz when LUW's r directly posted to DeltaQueue the
application is kept waiting until all the enhancement code
is executed.

Hi
With delta extraction, only the data that has changed since the last extraction is loaded into the BW. Data that has already been loaded and has not changed is not extracted and does not need to be deleted before a new load. This improves performance compared with periodic extraction of the entire dataset.

Hi
if u are using bi 7.0. you can create DTP using Delta Option.
While creating the DTP. Select Extraction Tab page
and set extraction mode as Delta.
thanks

delta is the biggest advantage of a BW system.
The process of delta is to load only changed information of records into the datawarehouse to reduce load time and make the system more efficient.
Objects like ODS's, cubes and extractors enable delta handling.
Search for delta in forums and u will find lots of info.
