unplanned depreciation isnt posted yet

Hello

I entered unplanned depreciation for period 9 (tran abaa).This depreciation appears in the Asset Explorer but not posted (sign is yellow).

Does it mean that I need to go to tran afab and post depreciation? I though tht accounting document trigers the posting of depreciation , isnt it?

Hi Comandante,

unplanned depreciation is as well as (manual) special depreciation and (manual) ordinary depreciation posted to G/L with the depreciation run. This is also valid for revaluation postings and revaluation of ordinary depreciation.

Only write-up as the adjustment of prior year depreciation is posted directly to G/L.

The posting from unplanned depreciation is only a posting in asset accounting. With the depreciation run from period 09 it is posted. You can do a test run and selrct the option manual depreciation
