Maximum delivery quantity for material BOM

Hello experts,

we have created a material BOM with bom usage 5 (sales and distribution). It works fine and we can create a order and the delivery.

What we want is a delivery split on quantity. So when we create a sales order using a material BOM with a salesorder quantity of 5 pieces, we want 5 separate deliveries with the correct quantity of the components.

We want this because each material bom have to be delivered in a separate box.

We now create 5 different sales orders and this 5 different sales orders results in 5 different deliveries.

Anybody any idea's?

Hi,

Apart from whatever mentioned earlier using packaging functionality, you can also look for copy control setting in transaction code VTLA.

You can develop and assign a customized routine (if sales order item has BOM then split each quantity into one delivery) in the field order requirements at item level to create individual deliveries.

hello, friend.

just a suggestion (of course, because the following may not totally meet your requirements).

with packing option (handling unit management) you could pack the 5 quantities separately in 5 boxes. you then, don't have to have 5 separate delivery documents.

however, if you need to have 5 delivery documents, there are several ways of doing this, some of which are:

1. enter the 5 quantities as 5 line items, then enter different data for each line item (e.g. PO data, delivery date, etc.) that will cause delivery split.

2. enter either 1 line item for 5 quantities or 5 line items each with 1 quantity; then do partial delivery for each quantity or line item.

regards.
