Hi All
I need to make changes to the color of the tab strip according to the customer's req. Now, there is no customer specific theme created and i think SAP chrome is in use.How should i accomplish the changes. Can you please guide me thru the steps to do so? In case i create a new theme , then how to make it an active theme.
Please advise
Thanks & regards
Hi Sandeep,
After creating a new theme, when i right click on it , there is no option to add it to the portal desktop. It has only one option DELETE. Could you let me know why this is happening.
Thanks

Hi Ankur,
After creating a theme, you need
1. Default Framework page, make a copy of this in a folder in PCD.
2. Go to System Administration,Portal Display, Desktop and Display Rules-right click and create a Portal Desktop and add the frame work to this.
3. Then add the theme to the Portal desktop
4. Go to System Admininstration,Portal Display, Desktop and Display Rules-Portal Administrators-Super Administrator and right click and open Master Rule.
5. Here you would define like
If user = ankur then theme = the one you have created.
Please follow this.
Cheers,

Ankur,
are you accessing the portal using fully qualified domain name(httP:://server:port)
As sandeep mentioned Go to System Administration-Portal Display-Desktops & Display Rules - go to Content Provided by SAP-End User Content-Standard Portal users-Default Portal Desktop-right click and copy and paste in the folder as delta link.
Then add the framework to that newly copied desktop.
And change the MasterRule collection accordingly.
Thanks

Hey Ankur..
Refer this excellent article:
It deals with:
1.Defining the Default FrameworkPage
2.Defining Themes
3.Defining the Portal Desktop
4.Defining Portal Display Rules.

Thanks a lot Sandeep. By looking and this video, it means that i make the changes to the theme, then save it to a new theme..Once done this should be added to the deafult framework page.Correct me if i am wrong.
Also, if the new theme is in use, then none of the functionality goes missing.
Thanks
Ankur
Hi Ankur,
Yes, you are right
You need to add it to the default framework and change the master rule collection as well.
Refer to the other links as well, they would be handy for you.
Please close the thread if your are good to go.
