PA40 you can Create the record of single person with sequence of IT.

This ideally used for hiring an employee. After all the formaliites of

Recuritment is finished it is mandatory to have all the records of person

as he is employee.

PA42 you can Create Data for Multiple persons, multiple infotypes

(Usually it is only Most importent fields of a Infotype) on a single screen for creating records faster.

Gernally We use this kind of scenarios like Mass recruitment.

They have to create applicant records but they don't all the

info except mandatory fields.

Hi,

With PA40 you can configure sequence of IT for a single employee.

PA42 you can configure multiple infotype to one user in a single screen.

Thanks,

hi,

Pa40 is the transaction through which you hire Employees.

Pa42 is for mass data entry.

like say you need to enter Absences for around 50 employees on a given date then what you do is you enter through pa70 rather than going to every individual record of the employee.

PA42 it has the fields from required infotypes (most important fields from standard required infotypes for hiring). so that most of the data can be filled in one screen. and the process will be fast when hiring in bulk number.
