Welcome text in Masthead

Hi All,

Could you please guide me through the steps required to move the Welcome < usrname> text area to the centre in Masthead?

Hi Ankur..

You can achieve this using Theme Editor..

Go to System Configuration>Portal Display>Theme Editor.

Open your Customized Theme..

No u should understand your masthead customization involves 3 parts:

1.Masthead Styles

2.Masthead Design Bar

3.Welcome area

To put your welcome area in Middle, Fill the following fields in theme editor..Now what you should do is:

Put Images for following enteries:

1. Browse image for URL to Background Image of Masthead.

2.URL to Design Bar

Your welcome text will automatically come in middle..

I have given you the clue...now you can make modifications and work on it..

Hello Gupta,

You'll most likely have to modify the PAR file.

Here's a good blog that should be more than enough for some "Copy&Paste" modification of the Masthead:

There's no configuration option of moving the text of the masthead in the middle (where the middle image is displayed).

Hi Ankur,

Go to your theme.

Open it for editing.

Scroll down to welcome area

Under that you would have an option text alignment set this to centre

If that does not work.

Increase the width of the design bar and your text would be in the centre.

Ankur,

It is simple as well.

Try highlighting the masthead and figure out which image you want to change.

you would find an option

URL to logo or

URL to background image function

URL to branding image

URL to design bar

URL to background image of welcome area

They have a browse button.

Save any image on your desktop and browse to it and save.
