Hi,

Coming from UNIX/Oracle environment, we do not need to restart the server when DST starts.

Is this the same case with SAP in Windows server 2003 & Oracle DB?

tnx,

kbas

I think hes talking about the Daylight Savings Time... if you have done changes at the OS level is recomendable to restart SAP

Hi Juan,

The change is automatic in the OS side. the time will be automatically moved forward for an hour on sunday morning (5/Oct/08).

I remember that in unix, our SAP system did not have any error when the time moved forward so we did not restart the SAP system and DB.

How about in SAP/Ora in windows server?

tnx,

hi,

I suggest you do not need to restart your OS but make sure that you shutdown your SAP instance and database first before changing it.

It means that you need to restart SAP and database as well during changing to DST configuration.
