Hello Expert,
Our costs from one route are being assigned to a wrong cost center. We need to change the cost center that is assigned to this route. The current cost center is 310100 but we needed it to be the 310310. We need to know where can we change this assignment.
Thanks for the help.
Regards.
Dear Ryan,
Is the activity rate that's defined for a Cost center+activity type combination is same for both the cost
centers 310100 & 310310? If not means then after changing the Cost center in costing tab key for the
particular Work center in CR02,you have to do a re cost estimate.
If already a standard cost estimate exists for that particular material means, then you have to reorganise
the existing standard Cost Estimate using T code CKR1 and then you have to take a Cost Rollup.
If some confirmation has been made already means then cancle that and after taking the Released cost
estimate,do those confirmations once again so that proper cost is getting accumulated.
For you knowledge purpose ,I'm sharing this with you.
1.Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
2.Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
3.Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
4.In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
Year as 2008,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5)---> enter the per hour Rate
under Fixed price and set value as 2 for distribution key and plan price indicator as 3.
5.After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center
should be assigned. Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
operations.
Check with this & revert back if you need any further help.

Hi,
First check in CR02 in costing tab which cost center are you using?
Please check the Manual Reposting of Costs KB11N? to edit the material document.
OBYC and VKOA for account determination or account assignment.
Through OKB9 you can only default for the cost center.
SAP OSS Note 409520.

Hi Ryan,
As per SAP you can't change the cost center in routing. Bcz it read from work center.
Go to CR02 enter Work center Name press enter then change the Cost center under Costing view and save.
Go to CO02 enter order number press enter Go to Menu read master data, this time system will read the Routing with new cost center.
check and give the feed abck.

Hi,
Activity type:-
KS01,KS02 - Create & Change Cost centre Respectively.
KL01,KL02 - Create & Change Activity Type.
KP26 - Activity Output/Prices.
In CR02 while changing a work centre, you will be assigning a cost centre and activity types defined & valid for that cost centre.
So when you assign this work centre in routing, according to the time mentioned in operation, the cost will get captured.
Hope it will help you.
