In the first posting The Asset Value Date will be the capiatlization date. New postings on the asset will not change the capitalization date. The capitalization date is the basis for the the determination from the depreciation start data.
When you want to have a different capitalization date you can give that with you create the asset.
In some depreciation keys the Asset Value Date is the base for the depreciation calculating and not the depreciation start date. ( 1 posting start on 01.04 and the other on 01.07)
