Serial Number Profile

Hi,

A HALB material was wrongly created with Serial Number profile attached to it. There is a problem while creating the delivery as it is asking for serial numbers.

Actually there are no serial numbers for this material. Earlier, I dont know how and why they have created serial numbers in the system for this material.

Is there any way we can delete the Serial number profile for the material or is the only option is to create a new material code?

HI,

Since you have assigned the serial profile you will not be able to remove it from the Material master, rather what you can do is that you have to create a serial number profile without serialisation procedures in SPRO and enter this in the Material master record.

Refere also program - RISERNR9.

This is the standard way how the SAP is suggested

in plant data /store 2 there is field for serial no profile just remove it

i tried removing in Plant Data 2. It says Serial Numbers already assigned to this material.

u have to nullify ur stock for the material with serial nos

here u have to issue it to somecost center then u can remove the profile
