Hello,

Thank you all for the help!

The problem got resolved.

The disk on which the file system was mounted was faulty.

We replaced the disk and created the file system again.

My installation went through.

Thanks & Regards,

Tejas

Hi,

Yes, the directory is writable to the user "sdb".

Also I will check the note 628131 and come back to you.

But before this, I have installed livecache server on my Dev server which is also HP Unix 11.23 having same configuration as that of my current server for Production system.

Is this error related to the Disk I/O problem or anything like that?

This is very crucial as we are going live on 1st October and my livecache istallation for Production environment is stuck up!

Solution will be rewarded.

Thanks & Regards,

Tejas

> Yes, the directory is writable to the user "sdb".

Well the owner of the directory seems to be "root". Also check if the user can write to the parent directories, the user may not be able to step down to that directory.

> Is this error related to the Disk I/O problem or anything like that?

The error is related either to access problems or to a wrong filesystem configuration.

If it's so crucial I'd open an OSS call and let the support people have a look on the system.

Hi Lars,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I checked my file system and there is lots of freespace!

Please make sure the directory is writable for user "sdb".

Hi Tejas,

looks like the filesystem for the data volumes does not have enough freespace (seems that just 1 byte is missing...) . So the solution is simple: supply the necessary freespace.

Lars
