Free of Cost material

Dear All

we are having scenario like this

Vendor Provoide some material free of charge (FOC) along with material say 100 qualtity order 20 FOC ( not often )

but at the time of PO this is not known

Some time free material may be different than order material but usefull

suggest me some option for this

Dear,

If this Free material is inventoried and valuated material for you, do Goods receipt OTHER - MB1C with movement type 511.

If material master exists for free material too make sure that Moving average price is maintained for this material.

During creation of Purchase order - you cannot maintain these free material in line item because, at the time of PO this is not known.

Yes, MAP will get affected (reduced) since you are increasing the quantity of material w/o increasing value.

Hi,

Create PO in ME21N with main line item for which you are creating PO and then add the second line item with "Free" indicator as active whenever required. This line item can be for the same material or different material.

Then do GR & LIV w.r..t. PO.
