Hi all ,
We are facing problem in Alert configuration and
Alert Inbox . We are on SP14 service patch
We are getting error as " 404 Not Found The requested
resource does not exist "
We have activated all the necessary services in
Tcode : SICF as mentioned in the config. guide
We have executed the program :
SXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES
We have referred the SAP note : 750287 and tried to
set the httpport as per the note but again we are
getting error as "The page cannot be displayed" .
We have checked the parameters in Exchange profile
for httpport as well as for host also .
Can someone please guide us on this .
Thanks
Shikha
I also faced the same problem.
I solved this by changing the some parameter.
I changed the parameter values
- http value in exchange profile : 50000 => 8000 .
- host in exchage profile : <server name> => <server name>.domain.
- icm/host_name_full : <server name> => <server name>.domain.
and I entered server address into the my local pc hostfile (c:\windows\drivers\etc\hosts).

LOCALHOSTFULL to the fqhn.

Hi Shikha,
In SICF transaction /sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
check inside the BC node whether you have activated the 'Alert Inbox' service with the service user id and password. Once you have activated you can do a test service from there and you are done...
Cheers
JK
Award points if this helps you
Shikha,
Try to ping your XI with FQDN. If this does not work, find the ip address of your XI server and add a line to your local hosts file.

Hello Shikha,
where is the URL pointing to, which leads to the http error 404? You can find that out by right-clicking into the resp. frame and displaying the properties.
You might encounter problems with hostname vs. fully qualified hostnames (fqhn) on the abap stack.
You can also check the http services in transaction SMICM, if they listen to the fqhn. My suggestion is to set the abap profile parameter LOCALHOSTFULL to the fqhn. The RWB should lead you then to fqhn of the abap stack. You have to restart the system in order to make the parameter work.
Rgds.,
Andreas

Hi,
You have already written <i>We have activated all the necessary services in
Tcode : SICF as mentioned in the config. guide
</i>
But you can have this as a checklist for alerts ,
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system,
- /sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
- /sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc
- /sap/public/bsp/sap/system
- /sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
- /sap/public/bc
- /sap/public/bc/ur
Did you check all these in SICF,also refer OSS note 768456.
Regards,
Anirban.
