RFC's Triggering from XI is possible or not

Dear Friends,

I imported the RFC's from ECC into XI system,

third party system wants to trigger RFC in XI system form it is possible or not. if it is possible what is the process.please let e know the process.

if your RFC is Receiver than it is possible as normal scenario

but if your RFC is sender side than it is not advisable to think for this .(triggering it from XI)

Depending on the third party system protocol support u can have HTTP, File or JDBC adapter on the sender side. Check for those sender side and RFC receiver side scenarios.
