Is it a Good Idea?. because it is taking too much time to open up in Import Manager, almost 15 mins just to display the data.
BTW it is DEBMDM06 type XML. What is a Good Number for "Number of customer records in one XML " and can anyone share the Import server Chunk size .....settings for that Number.
Thanks,
Sudhir
It depends upon the hardware config. But a decent hardware config should be able to take care of 5-10K records.
Also, it helps a "great deal" if you have an index on the 'A2I_CM_IMPORTTRACKING' table. This helps a lot in increasing the performance of the system. Please remember that if you create this index manually, it will get dropped the next time you restart your repository with "update indexes' option.

Thanks for all your replies. Looks like MDM_CLNT_EXTR solved our problem by slimming down the output XML for 5K to 14 MB Vs 120 MB from MDMC! So this whole parsing thing will be non-issue hopefully

Hi Sudhir,
It is a good practice that you use Import Manager once to create a proper import map with necessary fields and values map.
Use this map for inbound port so that Import Server can process the incoming files.
Regarding the chunk size the default is 50000. You can set the property "Chunk Size" as per requirement for each repository in mdis.ini which is present at
SAP MDM5.5\Import Server folder.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards,
