Formula to determine the sign of a number

Hi All,

Can anyone please give me an idea to write the formula for the following logic in BEx?

If X is negative then display zero

If X is positive then display zero

these are for 2 different formule to check if a particular field has a negative number it should be posted in one column and if the number is positive it should be posted in the other column.

(X< 0)0 + (X>0)X for the first case and just reverse the signs for the second case
