How to create custom Defined Navigation link in Interactive Scripting

Hello,

We have requirement to move to custom defined components from Interactive Scripting and to do that we have to maintain navigation link (parameter) to the existing list of navigation links available in scripting editor. We thopguht that we can maintain these links via tx SPRO at CRM->UI Framework->Technical Role Definition-> Define Work Area Component Repository but it didnt work out.

We added our custom component and inbound/outbound plugs but they are not reflected in scripting editor when we try to define Navigation.

Did we do anything wrong ? Do we need to maitain some other customizing ?

Hi,

For a custom component, you also have to maintain a UI object type in IMG - CRM - UI Framework - UI Framework definition - Define UI Object Types

This is table BSPDLCVC_OBJ_TYP. For standard examples you could have a look at table BSPDLCV_OBJ_TYPE using SM30.

Thanks Gert. Its one of the main steps to define custom Nav link.

But we also need to make an entry in Nav Bar profile under Generic OP mapping to make it work. I was under impression that its not dependent on Nav bar profile.
