Hi Friends,
Could somebody explain difference between travel time & transist time in the route? Why we need to specify both there? How transportaion plan date would determin?
Thanks
Hi
As i mentioned it is for additional infomation only
Similarly you can see there are two transportation lead times defined in route
One in no of days which is actually taken by the system
One in hrs and mins which is also for information purpose only
In real time implementations the ones, in which the no of days is mentioned only ,is taken by the system for calculating delivery schedule
The others are left blank

Hi
In addition to what Raja singh has suggested *Travel time is mainly for information purpose only*
In most of the routes that filed is left blank
The system takes only the transit time for delivery scheduling
Transit time is calculated in days
Travel time is calculated in hrs and mins

Raja

Hi Shiva,
In Routes and Stages Details and in Scheduling U can maintain the transit tim, travel duration, transportation lead time in calender days.
Transit duration in calendar days
Number of calendar days (with 2 decimal places) required for delivering an item from your company to the customer via a certain route.
The maximum value range that is supported amounts to 9999 days.
If the factory calendar of the forwarding agent has not been maintained, the factory calendar of the shipping point is used for delivery and transportation scheduling.
Use
The system uses the transit time from delivery scheduling as well as other time estimates (for example, the loading time) to determine the dates by which the goods must be available for picking, packing, and loading.
Travel time is actual travel time for route.
