How to check FTP Parameters in Communication Channel

Former Member

Hello everybody,

I am trying a FTP tutorial. Everything seems to be fine.

Adapter engine is correctly running and so on.

But my scenario does not read my file in the specyfied directory!

There must be something wrong. Maybe

Source-Directory (Slashes, Backslashes)?

Is there a quick and easy check if the parameters are correct?

Thanks in advance, Mario

Hi,

Try this in your browser or run prompt. If it opens the directory, then this is not the problem. Check out your filename and extension are correct. The names are case-sensitive.

Hi Uma,

everything is fine.

It seems that our security setting for the XI are not similar to our security setting using the net.

Hi Mario,

In the file access parameters, the entry should be something like this:

dir\foldername\

Also make sure the processing mode is set to delete, so that you can know if your file has been picked up. Also you can check if your adapter is working fine from the rwb.

Hi Mario,

Pls check the following

1. All the slashes for the source directory will be forward slashes only.

2. Check whether the relevant authorization is provided at the OS level for the FTP file adapter to pick the file and delete or archive it.

3. Check the status of communication channel in adapter monitoring inside RWB . It should be red if you are facing point no 2 mentioned here.

Cheers

Hi,

Try the parameter as
system-name\directory

Hi Uma,

where to set the parameters? In the browser?

I did this already. Works fine.

Thanks, Mario
