Batch determination at order release

Hi Folks,

Other than controlling with production scheduling profile, is there any way of setting batch determination at order release (say at order type level).

HI,

In material master of the product, in MRP2 view give the following

batch entry = 3 -Automatic batch determination upon release of order.

In order type - OPL8 give the batch search procedure.

OR

In transaction OPKP for the plant & prod scheduling profile combination, in the "Auto batch creation in the order" field maintain "2" Automatic batch creation at order release.

Batch creation for header material on order release:

Transaction OPKP - "Auto batch creation in the order" field : Select "2" Automatic batch creation at order release".

Batch determination for components on order release:

- Order type depndnt parameters - OPL8 - Assign the batch search procedure.

- In material master of the product, in MRP2 view for Batch entry field - select "3" -Automatic batch determination upon release of order
