implementing VMS

Can someone give idea in VMS implementation and how it interacts with a Dealer, other module integration?

What will be the major factors/activities need to be considered?

Hi,

VMS is the Vehicle Management System module of the IS-Automobiles solution. It will be futile explaining the concepts like Vehicle, Statuses, Actions, Action Controls, Action control matrix, qualifier etc in this answer.

You can go through the link to understand how VMS works along with R/3 involving SD, MM and FI.

If you have any specific question, you can get back to me as I have worked in thsi module extensively.

I as also new to VMS and need to know what all aspect we need to learn from technical side. I am from ABAP background. How is different from standard abap.

Hi,

It is normal ABAP only. You wont be using much of user exits but use mostly BAPIs and BADIs. Thats what I know.

If you can post in ABAP forum, you will get better responses about the technical nuances of IS Auto
