In Enterprise structure the correct warehouse is allocated to the Plant + S.L.
I have created the shipment (Vt01n) and mentioned the outbound delivery number. I have acknowledgement of the shipment delivery from the SAP system(my shipment , has this delivery 80000343).So this step was fine.
Now I proced to vl35_s , feed in the shipment number + warehouse and have this error (my 1st topic starter mail ).
So, I tried to go for a workaround, namely do a VL06P>created a group number->then did a LT42-- >but this did not help, I get
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
No items that are to be picked were found
Message no. L3124
Diagnosis
This delivery does not contain any open items that require picking.
This can result from the following conditions:
The delivery item is not assigned to the warehouse number you entered.
The delivery item is not assigned to the plant you entered.
The picking status of the delivery item is marked "not relevant" or "picking complete"
The WM status of the delibery item is "not relevant".
In the delivery item, there is no open quantity to be picked.

I don't think this diagnosis from SAP is helping me much here.

Ok Thanks all.
Here's the resolution
the 'determine picking location' was not defined. (assign picking rules)
due to this, the W.H was not getting determined(original error message).
so shpt plntsc+sloc was made.
now in outbd. delivery system picks the W.H number ('picking' tab of vl02n)
Kind Regards
